She began volunteering when her dad, Chad Eikost told her she should join, that she would love it! She’s been volunteering since January of 2019!
Kevin Farris is a lifetime active member of our department. Kevin is a former Chief with over 20 years of service. We truly appreciate the dedication that Chief Farris has given the department and community over the years.
In 1993 Carolyn joined our fire department and has been volunteering ever since. She has held many officer positions here including Captain and Lieutenant. In 1993 Carolyn joined our fire department and has been volunteering ever since. She has held many officer positions here including Captain and Lieutenant. In December of 2017, she was voted in as Chief of our fire department by our members. In January 2018, she took office. Five years later, in December of 2022, Carolyn expressed to the membership of her desire to take a break from chief. After 5 dedicated years as Fire Chief, the membership granted her request and worked to elect a new chief. She was the first ever female fire department chief in Pittsylvania County!! What an accomplishment!
